We're happy to announce that the Centre for Contemporary Political Theory has a new webpage, where you can learn about our research and outreach activities and follow our latest news and events.

For those of you who don't know about us yet: our members work within a variety of approaches to political theory, from analytic and normative perspectives to Marxist, post-structural, decolonial and feminist theorising. We are guided by a commitment to engaged scholarship, which means our research is practice-oriented and dedicated tobuilding spaces for dialogue with activists, practitioners and artists. The challenges we're trying to address and respond to in our research include: 1) climate change, refugee crisis and global health inequalities; 2) community, citizenship and democracy; and 3) intersecting oppressions, solidarity and resistance.

We offer a range of activities and events, from research workshops to work-in-progress seminars and professional development opportunities. We encourage PGRs to play an active role in our research community and offer a supportive environment for postgraduate research. Apart from our practical orientation, we are interdisciplinary in outlook, so we’re open to those of you who share an interest in political theory but come to it from other fields.

Please do drop us a line if you're potentially interested in hearing more and being involved.

Click here for details of our upcoming events. We’d also be happy to add you to our mailing list, where you can get updates about our activities.

All best wishes,

Maša and Derek, CCPT co-directors
